The three hour long stroll through the centre of Madrid, is also a journey to the early Muslims of the capital, its history in the Middle Ages and the splendorous era of the Austrians. But at the same time there is a focus on more recent events which offer an overview of current Spain: terrorist attacks, immigration, Basque separatism, property speculation.

Moreover, we admire classic tourist sites such as the Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace as well as small streets in the popular districts of La Latina and Lava pies. Autos de fe, legends of saints and virgins as well as royal weddings materialize in front of onlookers. Thieves, transformation artists and anarchists are found alongside prominent figures from the history of Madrid and from across the whole country: Felipe II, Diego Velázquez, Miguel de Cervantes, Franco. A very entertaining program for all who want to get a first glimpse of the history of this city.
